Proposed Senate Bill Could Tax Advisors

The Senate is considering an Internet sales tax bill that could clear the way for states to tax financial services and financial transactions, reports InvestmentNews.

Proposals by Ohio and Minnesota to impose sales taxes appear to have died, but North Carolina and Louisiana have discussed taxing advisory services.
