Fiduciary Standard Vote Postponed Due to Shutdown

Due to the federal government shutdown, the Investor Advisor Committee for the Securities and Exchange Commission has canceled a meeting scheduled that was to include a vote on endorsing the fiduciary rule proposal. So reports Financial Advisor.

The rule would require brokers to meet the same fiduciary standard currently imposed on registered investment advisors (RIAs).
