Broker Wrongdoing Frequently Expunged from Records

A recent study says that approximately 96% of requests by brokers to have wrongdoing expunged from their records are approved by the arbitration panel that oversees disputes with advisors. So reports The Seattle Times.

The study, which was completed by the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association, maintains that having such information removed from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s BrokerCheck services is supposed to happen in only unusual circumstances.
