Tax Overhaul Proposal Assailed by Industry Orgs

A proposal by Dave Camp (R - Michigan), Chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means, to revamp the U.S. tax code is receiving opposition from a variety of retirement industry organization, including the National Tax-deferred Savings Association.

The bill would eliminate dozens of tax breaks and, according to the Association, threaten retirement savings for workers who have traditionally earned lower incomes.
