Texas Congressman Proposes Cuts to Social Security

As President Trump settles into his new gig, Washington observers are waiting to see if a proposal by Congressman Sam Johnson to cut Social Security benefits will gain traction. So reports CNBC.

Johnson, who is an 86-year-old Texan and chairman of the House Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee, introduced legislation late last year that would change the retirement age from 67 to 69, cap payments to high-income workers, and use a different method to calculate cost of living increases.
