Bi-Partisan Bill Would Enhance Retirement Plans

Legislation introduced by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) would authorize multi-employer pension plans and other savings mechanisms, such as allowing individuals older than 70 to make tax-free contributions to their IRA. Multi-employer plans could allow smaller companies to join together and sponsor a single retirement plan for employees.
