Sales Commission Ban Trims Ranks of Advisors in Other Countries

Countries that have banned sales commission as compensation for advisors have seen a significant drop in the number of practicing advisors. So reports WealthManagement.

Both the Netherlands and the United Kingdom have banned commissions and have seen a drop in the number of advisors, as many professionals have either retired or changed careers, according to speakers during the Financial Planning Association’s Experience 2013 conference in Orlando.
