Is a CFP Designation Superfluous?

Many successful wealth managers argue that a CFP badge isn’t necessary to attract new business. So reports The Wall Street Journal.

They also argue that a financial advisor who truly wants to understand the business’ principals and practices would be better off getting actual work experience than devoting time to earning a three- or four-letter designation.
