Fidelity Creates Technology Unit and Merges Clearing and Custody

Fidelity has recently created a new unit, called Fidelity Wealth Technologies, which includes eMoney Advisor, and it has also merged its advisor custodian and clearing units. So reports Think Advisor.

Sanjiv Mirchandani, who has headed Fidelity’s National Financial clearing operation, is the new head of the merged unit, called Fidelity Clearing and Custody, and Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services’ Mike Durbin is the new head of the technology operation.
