Investopedia ranked the 100 most influential financial planners. The top three are Josh Brown, CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management, Michael Kitces, director of wealth management at Pinnacle Advisory Group, and Marguerita M. Cheng is the CEO at Blue Ocean Global Wealth.

The ranking is based on advisors' success with using social media, television, blogs and other content channels for educating the public on financial planning and retirement readiness.
