Thieves Have Their Eyes on Americans’ Stimulus Checks

Authorities warned that scammers are trying to grab Americans' stimulus checks. So reports CNBC.

The IRS and Federal Trade Commission have warned Americans about fake-check scams, phone scams and e-mail phishing scams involving the stimulus payments. WealthManagement.com offers some tips on how advisors can help protect clients against scams.   

Separately, Krebs on Security reports about potential vulnerabilities in a new IRS website that allows Americans who don’t normally file taxes to sign up for their stimulus payments.
