Texas FA Accused of Murdering Client, Leaving Fake Suicide Note

Financial Advisor Keith Ashley is accused of killing his client, 62-year old Jim Seegan earlier this year to gain control of his finances while also scamming at least 8 other clients. So reports KSAT.

crime scene 3796391 640smallPolice say Ashley staged the crime scene to make it appear Seegan had committed suicide. They accuse Ashley of placing a handgun in Seegan’s hand and leaving a typed note reading, in part, “my last friend Keith Ashley will help you,” next to the body. The note included Ashley’s phone number.

Ashley, who has been indicted and arrested on wire fraud charges, has been accused of bilking clients out of more than $1.9 million in a ponzi scheem.
