Wells Fargo is developing ‘Fargo,’ a new virtual assistant aimed at transitioning retail banking customers into digital users. It is expected to be released in 2022. So reports CNBC.

wells fargoThe firm has 27 million active mobile users, which is less than competitors such as Bank of American and JPMorgan.

Fargo will help pay bills, send money and offer transaction details and budgeting advice.

Michelle Moore, head of the bank’s consumer digital efforts, said clients were “telling us that our app was not easy to use, it’s not intuitive, there were too many dead ends and clients were getting stuck.”
