Advisors Sentenced to 3 Years of Probation for Hacking Client Data

Galen Marsh, who as a Morgan Stanley advisor downloaded client data to his home computer without permission, has been sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay $600,000 in restitution. So reports JD Supra Business Advisor.

Marsh says he downloaded the data to see how other advisors were investing assets and maintains that Russian hackers in turn hacked his own computer and posted the data online.
