SEC Seeks Input from Main Street Investors on Best Interest Rule

SEC Chairman Jay Clayton will hold roundtable discussions with “Main Street investors” this month to hear their views about their relationships with investment professionals. So reports ThinkAdvisor.

The discussions are part of the SEC's review of its proposal to develop a “best interest” rule for brokers and advisors. Broker-dealers with the best leadership and culture have proven the most adept at handling the disruption posed by regulation, technology and competition, according to their financial advisors.
