Gary Gensler Gets Senate Approval to Head SEC

The Senate voted 53-46 to approve Gary Gensler, Joe Biden’s pick to lead the Securities and Exchange Commission. So reads CNBC.

Gary GenslerWith Gensler, the SEC will have three Democratic commissioners and just two Republican commissioners. Gensler, 63, had promised to look into the GameStop chaos, digital currencies, and a number of other topics related to how corporate America tackles environmental, social and governance issues.

Gensler is best known for his work at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
