Labor Department Head Pushing Ahead with Fiduciary Rule

Labor Secretary Thomas Perez says he will continue to push for a fiduciary standard for retirement plan advisors even though Republicans and moderate Democrats are concerned that the rule could harm low-income individuals. So reports The Hill.

Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Mo.) recently contacted him to express her concerns over the proposed rule and he has responded by saying that the Labor Department will move forward with adopting a fiduciary requirement.
