SEC Clamps Down on Myth Buster for Pitching a Myth
The Securities and Exchange Commission has filed fraud charges against Dawn J. Bennett, whose radio program focused on busting financial myths. So reports Think Advisor.
The advisor allegedly inflated the amount of assets she manages and failed to disclose that her investment returns were for a model portfolio. Bennett, who is located near Washington, D.C., and owns Bennett Group Financial Services, only manages about one-fifth of the $2 billion that she claims to have under management, according to regulators.
