Employees Favor DC Plans But Don’t Know How Much to Save

In a recent study by the LIMRA Secure Retirement Institute, 80% of survey respondents say they believe 401(k) type programs are an effective tool for preparing for retirement. So reports benefitspro. 

However, only half of respondents said they had calculated how much money they need for their golden years. The low percentage of respondents who know how much they need to save exists despite employers making considerable efforts to teach employees about retirement planning.
