Consumer Advocate Wants Crackdown on Fiduciary Violations

The Consumer Federation of America is urging the Department of Labor to crack down on violations of the Fiduciary Standard’s Impartial Conduct Standards. So reports ThinkAdvisor.

The group maintains that violations of the standard have been occurring. It points to a recent charge by the Massachusetts Securities Division, claiming that Scottrade has engaged in “dishonest and unethical activity and failure to supervise,” as an example.
