Portfolio Manager Charged in Capitol Attack Commits Suicide

Christopher Stanton Georgia, 53, a regional portfolio manager with BB&T, was arrested on charges related to the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6. He plead not guilty to charges of attempting to unlawfully enter the Capitol and breaking the city’s curfew. So reports Forbes.

bullet 408636 640Georgia later died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest, according to the medical examiner.

BB&T is a bank holding company that merged with SunTrust in 2019. Together, they’re known as Truist Financial.
