Broker Banned After Losing NFL Players’ Money

Finra has barred Jeffrey Rubin from the industry after the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based broker lost more than $40 million by investing money from 31 National Football League players in an Alabama casino.

So reports Investment News.

Rubin operated a business called Pro Sports Financial Inc. Although the regulatory settlement did not name the NFL players, news reports indicate that the players include Terrell Owens, Plaxico Burress, Santonio Holmes, Santana Moss and Clinton Portis, among others.
